Three Rivers Music Academy

News

4/20/2023

It is with great sadness that I am announcing the closure of Three Rivers Music Academy's private lesson offerings. I have enjoyed serving the Twin Cities Music community, and I believe we have lived up to my original goal of offering affordable high quality music lessons. Unfortunately, we never recovered after 2020, and now it is time to say goodbye. Therefore, as of June 1, 2023, we will no longer be offering our online lessons or self-paced music program.

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve you. I am thankful for all of the students that chose us, and the teachers that put their heart and soul into their work over the past six and a half years. I'd like to give a special shout out to Joel Thielman, who stuck with me until the end. Best of luck to you, my friend. If you are one of Joel's students, he will be reaching out to you directly regarding his future teaching plans.

I am still hopeful that I can serve the music community and inspire more people to pick up an instrument and learn to play. At the moment I do not have a timeframe or a plan as to what that may look like or how it may happen. But stay tuned, you never know what could happen next.

And with that, I once again say "Thank You" and leave you with an excerpt from Garth Brooks' "The Dance."

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end
The way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain
But I'd have had to miss the dance

Sincerely,

Ric Oliva
